The Author

My name is Erendira and I’m a third year student at Wichita State University. Go Shox! I’m currently double majoring in International Studies and Political Science and am working towards a Honors minor. When not focusing on academics I love going to the public library, visiting museums, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

  1. Erendira, thanks for the like on my post “I Used to Live in Turkey…Part 1.” I just published Part 2, and the last part will be coming out soon. Maybe they will help you in your transition to studying in Turkey. What uni will you be attending? I’m so excited for you! I’d love to go back there to live. How’s your Turkce? –Timi

  2. Best wishes to you Erendira! It is truly a wonderful and exciting privilege to be able to learn about far away places and people with different perspectives. As you know, Turkey is at a sort of crossroads — will it continue with its commitment to a secular democracy or follow a less inclusive path? I have only been to Istanbul but it was one of my favorite places. I will look forward to reading your blog entries! Kim

    1. Thank you! I am extremely excited to have this chance to go and be able to learn more about Turkey’s history and current political atmosphere. It should definitely be a learning opportunity.
